Our client is a delivery business whose platform is built in Go. In a market where growth depends on the quality and pace of engineering, they compete for the same scarce Golang talent as some of the biggest names in tech.

Brief

trg was one of several agencies competing on the account. The brief was direct: deliver high-quality Go engineers at pace, widen the diversity of every shortlist, and cut the candidate dropout the company had come to expect from agency hiring.

Context of Mission

We embedded ourselves in the engineering organisation - close to the hiring managers, the stack and the culture - and used the trg communities to reach Go engineers who don't respond to cold outreach. 37% of the candidates we put forward came through our communities, and 47% of CVs sent were from diverse backgrounds.

Outcome

We became the highest-performing agency on the account, placing 3x more than our competitors: 14 placements covering 67% of the engineering team, at an average of 13.5 working days to hire. 92.8% of those hires are still with the business.
